ARTIST BIO

Currently exhibiting at various Art Shows.

As an Melbourne born and raised artist I have been developing my style by evolving my awareness, expanding my skills and intuition since the nineties. I seek to enable the viewers to see other dimensions.

I currently prefer the medium of acrylic and have a strong connection to the bold colours and textures offered by the Australian landscape. I love painting landscapes in particularly the Northern Territory, Kimberleys, Wilsons Promontory and Tasmania. I am also fascinated with cityscapes resulting in the following series - Federation Square, Yarra Palms and City Skylines.  While expanding my cityscape series of Melbourne I am now also capturing other cities in Australia including Sydney, Adelaide and Bendigo.

I enjoy interpreting the gardens and the environment, exemplifying, expanding and stylizing the foliage as calligraphy within the landscapes and cityscapes.

I am inspired and influenced by John Brack, Egon Schiele, Brett Whiteley, Anne Marie Graham and Del Kathryn Barton.

I have had 6 solo exhibitions at Volumes, a solo exhibition at both Decoy and Kinch Fine Food  and also participated in numerous group exhibitions and art shows. My paintings have been sold to collectors in Australia, New Zealand and China. I have featured in the book publications 'Windows on Waverley' and 'Brushes with Life'.

I participate in the art community and derive much inspiration from fellow artists.   I belong to the Hughesdale Art Group.
