Acceptable Artworks

 Number

The Artist may submit up to 3 works for assessment. Each entry attracts a submission fee as shown under the Fees and Commissions section which is debited from a credit card provided by the artist. The submission fee is not refundable

Pairs, trios and multiple panelled paintings will be accepted. Entry fees will be calculated using the combined dimensions of the work. The paintings will be hung together and will not be sold separately.

Size 

Submitted paintings must not exceed one (1) square metre in total area (including the frame).

An artist may submit one (1) larger painting up to 1.75 square metres including the frame. A larger painting must be priced over $1500.

Sculptures must be less than 40kg and up to 1.2 cubic metres. Larger works may be accepted on the discretion of the Organiser. 

Non Acceptable Works

Work that is not the original work of the exhibitor, for example, a copy or reproduction or worked on by a tutor.

Wet, oversize, damaged, pornographic or offensive work as judged by the selection panel will not be accepted.

Work not complying with the terms and conditions of entry or incorrectly priced will not be accepted.

AI or computer generated art, digital prints, reproductions, photography, Batik, ceramics, porcelain, textiles, giclee prints are not acceptable.

Acceptance Fee

Acceptance of a work into the show will attract an Acceptance Fee dependent on its dimensions. The acceptance fee is in addition to the submission fee. Fees are not refundable.

Artists will be notified by both email and text message when their work has been accepted for exhibition.

Please ensure that your correct contact details are registered with Gallery 247.

Any oversize artwork presented on Delivery will be ineligible for judging and may not be hung depending on space.

Framing

Artwork must be on durable material, framed with Flush Hangers which do not protrude when paintings are stored. Eye hooks are not acceptable as these can cause damage to other works. 

Oil/acrylic paintings on stretched canvas unframed but ready for hanging will be considered framed but must be rigid and have adequate cross members.

Artwork must be fitted with substantial hanging wire; not cord.

Artwork inadequately framed with inadequate means of hanging will not be accepted

Identification

The identifying labels, sent by the Art Show organisers, must be affixed securely to the rear of the work.

Additional Works

Individual artists may at the discretion of the Organisers be invited to supply more than the maximum number of works.
